Dear Customer,
We thank you for the interest shown in GPRS. The following are the services that you can enjoy on the GPRS platform from !dea:
1. MMS: You can send a Multimedia message to any mobile subscriber with GPRS facility activated in his mobile across India or to any e-mail ID across the World. MMS can include pictures, photographs, videos, sounds & more.
The charges for an MMS are just Rs.3/- per MMS.
2. Internet on Mobile: This facility gives you the power to browse the internet on your handset screen. Depending on the type of GPRS handset you are using you can access WAP sites or more. In addition to all the normal browsing that you can do on the internet, this feature will also enable you to download features like True tones, Videos, Wall papers, themes etc from relevant sites provided your handset supports the feature.
3. Mobile Web Access: In case you are a postpaid subscriber, you can also utilize the option of using your handset as a modem to connect to the internet.
For enjoying any of the GPRS options, you will need to configure your handset for the same. Please find attached the step-by-step procedure to configure your handset
GPRS Settings: -
Menu ] select Funbox ] click at WWW Service ] Select Proxy Settings ] Click one of the Profile Settings.
After you have selected one of the Profile, the screen will display the following items you need to key in :
Profile name : - Idea GPRS
Select GPRS Setting and key in the following :
Gateway IP address : - 10.4.42.15
Gateway IP port : - 9201
APN GPRS : - imis
Login ID : - ( leave blank )
Password : - ( leave blank )
Homepage URL : - http://www.ideafresh.com
Bearer : - GPRS only
Go back to WWW Service menu, select Current Proxy ] Idea-GPRS
At the WWW Service menu, click Home
You will then connected to Idea GPRS wapsite.
MMS Settings: -
Menu ] select Messages ] click at Settings ] Select Multimedia Services ] Click MMS Profiles Setting
Select Profile Setting ] select anyone of the Profile
The screen will display the following items you need to key in:
Profile Name : - Idea-MMS
Server URL : - http://10.4.42.21:8002/
Select GPRS Setting and key in the following :
Gateway IP address : - 10.4.42.15
Gateway IP port : - 9201
APN GPRS : - mmsc
Login ID : - ( leave blank )
Password : - ( leave blank )
Bearer : - GPRS only
Go back to Message Menu, and then select Multimedia Message. Send a multimedia message to B party number.
